The Sony KV-20FV10 is a 20-inch flat-screen Trinitron television sold in the United States from 1999. It was one of the first small-screen Sony sets to use a flat FD Trinitron tube, and it was sold alongside conventional curved Trinitrons until Sony ended curved CRT production in 2001.[1] US sets carry chassis number SCC-S22B-A on the BA-4C chassis platform; the Canadian KV-20FV10 uses SCC-S24B-A, and the related KV-21FV10, KV-21FV10C and KV-25FV10A cover other markets from the same service manual.[2]
The picture measures 20 inches diagonally on a 21-inch A51LPT70X tube.[2][1] The tuner covers VHF channels 2–13, UHF 14–69 and cable channels 1–125 through a 75-ohm antenna terminal.[2] Sound is stereo with SRS and BBE processing, and a variable/fixed line-level audio output is provided for an external amplifier.[2]
The set includes automatic degaussing at power-on, a service menu reachable from the on-screen display, and a velocity-modulation circuit that can be switched off.[1] A Remote Commander RM-Y168 was supplied.[2]
