Description

The Sony BVU-870 is a BVU-series U-matic VTR featuring Dynamic Tracking technology that provides broadcast-quality, noise-free pictures from -1x to +3x normal speed. When coupled with an optional time base corrector, it delivers outstanding broadcast-quality output. The BVU-870 incorporates SP circuits, Dolby C noise reduction, and a redesigned audio head block for excellent video and audio performance. Many of these SP advantages are only gained when recording and playing back in SP mode using Sony's KSP series tapes, though conventional cassettes are also supported. The unit provides 300-line horizontal resolution in SP mode and 260 lines in conventional mode. Audio signal-to-noise ratio reaches better than 52dB in SP mode without Dolby NR. Video specifications match the BVU-850 with improved transport features.
