Description

The JVC RM-P250 is a wired remote control unit designed as an optional accessory for the JVC KM-F250 frame synchronizer. It allows operators to adjust the KM-F250's processing amplifier controls from a remote position, which is useful in rack-mounted broadcast and production environments where the KM-F250's front panel may not be easily accessible.

When the KM-F250's LOCAL/REMOTE switch (located behind the front panel) is set to REMOTE, all front-panel controls are disabled and the RM-P250 takes over operation. The remote provides access to the same proc amp adjustments available on the KM-F250 itself: video (Y) level, chroma level, U-V balance, setup level, horizontal position, and Y/C timing. Field freeze and frame freeze functions are also accessible via the remote.

The RM-P250 connects to the KM-F250 via the REMOTE connector on the frame synchronizer's rear panel. Regional variants include the RM-P250U for the North American market.

The unit is quite rare and was produced in limited quantities as a professional accessory. Very little standalone documentation exists; its specifications are referenced in the KM-F250 user manual and service manual rather than in a dedicated product sheet.
