Overview

The JVC BM-H1310SU is a 13-inch color production monitor from JVC's BM-H series, designed for professional broadcast and video production applications.[1] Announced at NAB 2001 as the successor to the BM-H1300SU, it launched at a suggested list price of $1,175.[2]

The monitor uses a 13-inch CRT with P-22 phosphors, in-line guns, and a trio-dot shadow mask with a 0.28mm dot pitch, delivering more than 750 lines of horizontal resolution.[3] It incorporates beam current feedback circuitry for stable picture quality and offers selectable color temperature settings ranging from 6500K to 9300K.[2] The aspect ratio is switchable between 16:9 and 4:3, and it supports multi-system operation across NTSC and PAL standards.[2]

The BM-H1310SU's professional input complement includes two composite video channels on BNC, one S-Video (Y/C) channel on 4-pin Mini-DIN, and a switchable component (Y/B-Y/R-Y) or RGB analog input on BNC — all featuring bridge connections for signal loop-through.[3] An external sync (EXT. SYNC) BNC input with loop-through is also provided for studio genlock applications, along with a REMOTE/TALLY DIN 8-pin port for system integration.[3] Three audio channels on RCA with bridge connections support the video inputs, and a built-in 9cm × 5cm oval speaker provides 0.8W mono audio monitoring.[3]

An optional RM-C550W wireless remote control was available as an accessory ($179).[4]

The monitor requires 120V AC at 50/60Hz and draws 0.9A.[3] It measures 346mm × 332mm × 410mm (W × H × D) and weighs 35.7 lbs (16.2 kg).[3]
