The JVC AV-27530 is a 27" CRT television from JVC's 30-Series lineup, introduced in 2004. It features a dark tinted picture tube with bottom-mounted front-firing speakers, distinguishing it from the side-speaker D-Series models.
According to CRT Database, this model is identical to the JVC AV-27430 from the previous year, with minor cosmetic differences to the front bezel. The chassis is shared with the AV-27430, AV-27432, JVC AV-27D104, and JVC AV-27D304. Together with the JVC AV-27D305, the AV-27530 was one of the last curved-tube 27" models JVC produced.
The 1-chip chassis design does not support RGB modification. However, component video quality is excellent and highly regarded for retro gaming.
JVC used two different picture tubes in their 27" TVs, indicated by a letter after the serial number: "S" for Samsung tubes, and "R" for Thomson/RCA tubes.
