As a D-Series model, the AV-20D202 maintains the premium build quality and feature set of the line in a smaller 20-inch size. The compact size makes it suitable for secondary viewing locations while still offering full connectivity options.
RGB Modification
The JVC AV-20D202 is RGB-moddable via mux. This CRT uses the same board as the JVC AV-27230, so the RGB mod instructions for that model apply directly to the AV-20D202. The modification typically involves muxing into the OSD (On-Screen Display) RGB inputs.
Additional Modifications
- Vertical edge enhancement can be minimized by removing resistor R239 on the bottom of the main board
Service Information
This model shares a common service manual with the AV-27D302, AV-27D202, and AV-27230. Despite its smaller size, it uses the same FV4 chassis and similar internal components as the 27-inch models.
Known Issues
- Picture settings do not automatically save and require a specific process to store changes
