Overview
The JVC C-1917 is a 19-inch color television featuring JVC's FY chassis, a design emphasizing enhanced interactive remote operation and superior picture quality. It uses a tinted picture tube for improved contrast and deeper black reproduction.[1]
The set includes a 112-channel frequency synthesizer tuner for direct cable reception of VHF, UHF, and cable bands (Sub-Mid, Mid, and Super) without external converters. It features JVC's Master Command remote control with comprehensive on-screen displays, a built-in timer presettable up to 10 hours for automatic shut-off, and 3-way tuning options: Choice (4 preset channels), Return, and Auto Channel Scan. Combination "rabbit ears" and loop antennas are included.[1]
Audio output is rated at 1.5 watts through a single 3-3/16" round speaker. The set measures 20-1/8"W × 19-3/8"D × 20-1/4"H and weighs 41.8 lbs. The MSRP was $399.[2]
