Description
The Ensemble Designs BrightEye 75 is an HD/SD analog video to digital converter with audio embedding capabilities. The unit accepts standard or high definition analog component video, composite, or S-Video on three BNC inputs and outputs serial digital video (HD-SDI or SD-SDI) with embedded audio.
The BrightEye 75 is ideal for integrating analog HD cameras, set-top boxes, or other analog sources into digital production environments. The built-in TBC/frame synchronizer allows asynchronous or noisy signals to be processed and genlocked to a house reference. Video is digitized at 12-bit resolution with noise-tolerant tracking for time base correction.
Two channels of balanced analog audio are accepted on a Phoenix connector and embedded into the SDI output stream. The unit supports both -10 dBu and +4 dBu reference levels with 24-bit quantization at 48 kHz.
The compact half-rack enclosure (5.625" × 0.8" × 5.5") requires an external 12V power supply (100-230 VAC universal, sold separately).
Supported HD Standards
- 1080i at 50, 59.94, or 60 Hz (SMPTE 274M)
- 720p at 50, 59.94, or 60 Hz (SMPTE 296M)
- 1080p at 23.98, 24, or 25 Hz (SMPTE 274M)
- 1080sF at 23.98, 24, or 25 Hz (RP211)
