The Panasonic CT-27SL14J is a 27-inch colour television built on Panasonic's GN3 chassis, part of the wider NA10 chassis family. It was documented in a simplified service manual (order no. MTNC040103C1) that adds the CT-24SL14J, CT-24SL14UJ, CT-27SL14J and CT-27SL14UJ to the existing NA10 family manuals.[1]

The set runs from 120 V 60 Hz at 2.4 A and has a 181-channel tuner covering 12 VHF, 56 UHF and 113 cable channels.[2] It measures 29.69 × 21.03 × 23.68 inches (75.4 × 53.4 × 60.2 cm) and weighs 35.4 kg.[1]

Features

The rear VIDEO 1 input is dual-purpose: it takes 480i component video on Y/PB/PR phono jacks from a DVD player, or a conventional composite source on the shared Y/Video jack, and the on-screen label changes to match whichever is connected.[2] INPUT 2 accepts either S-Video or composite, but not both at once — connecting both causes interference.[2] A further audio/video input sits behind the front control panel.[2]

Rear audio output jacks deliver 0–2.0 V RMS into 4.7 kilohms and can be switched between fixed and variable level, with the internal speakers turned off from the AUDIO menu when an external amplifier is used.[2]
