The Bang & Olufsen BeoVision AV 9000 is a 28-inch (70 cm) CRT television that formed the heart of the Beosystem AV 9000, a complete home-cinema system introduced by Bang & Olufsen in 1992 and produced for about seven years.[1] Designed by David Lewis, the system combined the television — which integrated a Dolby Surround processor, an active centre speaker and a video recorder based on the Beocord VX7000 — with a pair of BeoLab 8000 front speakers, a pair of BeoLab 6000 rear speakers and the Master Control Panel AV 9000 audio source module.[1] The set used a Black Line S picture tube with Black Matrix behind a grey-glass, anti-reflex-coated contrast screen, giving a 66 cm visible picture, and was offered in market versions for Europe, France, Great Britain, Italy, Australia and East Europe.[1]
