The FOR-A FA-90RU is a rack-mounted remote control unit designed for use with FOR-A FA-9000, FOR-A FA-9100, and FA-9100RPS frame synchronizers. It connects to the frame synchronizer via two 75-ohm BNC cables in a daisy-chain topology, supporting up to 100 frame synchronizer units per FA-90RU and up to 100 FA-90RU units in a multi-control configuration.

The front panel features a fluorescent menu display, four rotary controls (F1–F4) with associated UNITY reset buttons, dedicated menu buttons for video processing, audio, system, and optional module functions, arrow buttons for menu navigation, and status indicators for video/audio input, genlock, remote connection, by-pass state, and fan alarm. An ID SELECT button allows unique IDs to be assigned when multiple FA-90RU units are used together.

The FA-90RU supports two multi-unit control modes (MULTI and PRIORITY) and can store up to 30 user events for saving and loading frame synchronizer settings. Power is supplied via an internal AC inlet (100–240 V, 50/60 Hz) with an AC cord retaining clip. The unit is designed for EIA standard rack mounting using the included rack mount brackets.
