JVC TM-900SU
Overview
The JVC TM-900SU is a 9-inch portable professional color monitor introduced at NAB 1991. It uses a data-grade CRT with advanced signal processing circuits, delivering true color rendition and resolution of more than 310 TV lines. Signal processing ensures no degradation of fine characters and symbols at the corners of the screen.[1]
The monitor accepts S-VHS signals via separate luminance and chrominance circuits, as well as signals from two composite sources. Professional monitoring features include underscan capability, a pulse cross circuit, a blue check switch, and switchable color-off and AFC controls.[1]
The TM-900SU is housed in a durable aluminum cabinet measuring 9"H × 8-3/4"W × 12-7/8"D. It operates on both 12V DC and 100–120V AC power, making it suitable for portable field use as well as studio installations. The monitor can be mounted in a standard 19-inch equipment rack using the optional RK-10E mounting adapter, which supports two monitors side by side.[1] The MSRP was $736.[2]
